SC/ST/OBC Cell

According to the policy of Government of India, the Institute has resolved that affirmative policies, programs, schemes, and facilities are provided to persons belonging to socially and economically weaker sections of the society, including persons with disabilities. To ensure the implementation of the affirmative policy of the Government of India/UGC and the orders timely issued by such authorities for the benefit of SC/ST/OBC community, the Institute formed an SC/ST/OBC cell in accord with UGC letter no. F.1–26/76 (CP/SCT) dated June 27, 1979.

The cell performs the following duties :The cell performs the following duties :

1. Acts as a Standing Advisory Committee on SC/ST community.

2. Monitors the implementation of reservation policies

3. Manages a complaint register

4. Maintains of reservation rosters/registers

4. Ensures the compliance of orders of reservation issued and other benefits admissible in favor of SC/ST/OBC

5. Liaises with the UGC/DoPT/MHRD with respect to the supply of required information, answers queries, and clears doubts with respect to reservations data/information, etc.

6. Liaises with the office of the commissioner for SC/ST/OBC in response to representations/complaints

7. Liaises with the office of the commissioner for SC/ST/OBC in response to representations/complaints

8. Liaises/coordinates with the equal opportunity office for the implementation of policies/orders
